Your Kids Have A New Drug That Is Legal

Today's youth has found a substitute to smoking cannabis and getting away with it. They are now smoking a drug called spice. Smokers of spice can get the same effects of smoking cannabis and without testing positive for drugs in their system. Spice can be found in many gas stations and head shops.  Spice is a synthetic cannabis that can not be detected in the system as cannabis. Although many European countries have banned spice, it is still legal in the United States and Canada.  Spice is sold as a herbal smoking blend or as incense. Spice is sold under the names of Spice and K2. Spice originated in Europe in 2004 and spread to the US and Canada.  Spice has the same negative effects as marijuana and some users have an increased agitation and severe vomiting. Regular users of spice have noticed withdrawal symptoms. Some users of Spice have noticed ongoing psychotic episodes and is shown to produce psychosis in some of it's users. There are very little studies done on the effects synthetic cannabis has on the body. Most of the Spice users are teens and young adults.  Keep an eye out for packages labeled Spice and K2.  They are sold as incenses, but I would think twice if your teen says that is what they are using it for. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Jennifer PetKov Taunts Her Neighbor's Little Girl

This bullshit going on with a Trenton, MI woman Jennifer PetKov, taunting a her neighbor's daughter by posting Facebook pics of the little girl with her face being the center of a skull with cross bones and her mother wrapped in the arms of the grim reaper is absolutely ridiculous.  Petkov and her husband even went as far as to paint their truck and put a coffin in the back of the truck. Petkov got on the news and was ranting how she did because she knew it would piss her off. This is a prime example of how childish people act when they get on Facebook. What the hell ever happen to people? Have they gone and lost their damn minds? Now they offer a apology to the family and the little girl after they have been publicly humiliated and her husband is suspended from his job. Do you honestly believe someone who is capable of doing something like that is sincerely sorry? I highly doubt it. The entire thing was over a neighborhood dispute. I am a Facebook user, but this shit is starting to get rediculous the shit people do on their Facebook accounts.

Sex and the city 2

For those Sex and the city lovers, there is a sequel! I really enjoyed the first movie a lot more than I thought I would and Sex and the city 2 looks even better than the first. I'll waiting for this one to come out on dvd to enjoy relaxing on my couch. For the first Sex and the city, my husband ran to the bedroom to watch football. I'm sure he will enjoy 2 as much as the first Sex and the city. ;)

A sigh of relief...

I went for my mammogram on Tuesday and had an appointment with the surgeon yesterday, it was just a cyst. What a relief. They surgeon took care of the cyst in the office, so everything worked out okay in the end and I am a little sore but, good as new. It was a scary feeling sitting there waiting for all the test results. Everyone at the Breast Cancer Center was awesome. Everyone was very prompt on doing the testing and getting the results because the lump was rather large, it was about the size of a lime. Now, I'm just waiting on the results of the fluid drawn from the cyst to make sure it wasn't cancerous.  But, the surgeon assured me, he doesn't think it was cancerous, so I feel much better. One lesson I learned from the whole situation is GO FOR MY YEARLY MAMMOGRAMS.

One of life's little bumps in the road...

Today I went in for my annual check up with my Obgyn.  He found a lump on my breast.  A rather large one at that. I never expected to hear that from him. I don't know why, I just never thought, it would happen to me. But, I guess that is how we all think until it does happen to us. He doesn't think it's cancerous, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. So, I guess I will be going for my mammogram tomorrow. How appropriate during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  That's something all women should stay on top of. But, I think with the fear we all carry deep down inside, so many of us avoid getting those mammograms because we are afraid of what they might find or we are foolish enough to think it will never happen to us. Days like these I wish my Grandmother was still around. She always had a way of making me feel like everything will be just fine. She always said your a Rush woman and we are strong women and can get through just about anything. So, what do I do when I come home from the doctor? Cook greens, mash potatoes, gravy and BBQ ribs.  It's comfort food. Whenever I'm missing her, I cook the things she used to cook a lot of. For some reason, it makes me feel a little better. If I can offer any advise to anyone, get your check ups and mammograms and never forget to tell the ones you love how much you love them.

Make Sure You Pay Your Fire Protection Fee In Tennessee

Gene Cranick's home in Obion County, Tenn. caught on fire last week and when he couldn't put the fire out with his garden hose. He called 911 to have the fire put out. To his dismay, he didn't pay the nearby town's $75 fee for fire protection service and the fire department wouldn't come and put out the fire. Cranick's neighbor called the fire department because they were afraid their home would catch on fire, the fire department responded to the call but wouldn't do anything, they just stood there and watched Cranick's house burn down to the ground. Cranick assumed they would come and put out the fire even if he hadn't paid the $75.00 fee. It's sad a man had to lose his home over $75.00. The fire department could have put out the fire and sent him a bill. What if there had been someone in the house? Would they still have let the house burn down with a person in the house? I guess the residents of Obion County and the surrounding areas know to pay their bill.  But seriously, something has to be done about that. They can bill the people later instead of letting someones house burn down. That's is just ignorance.
