Arachnophobia

I have what is called an arachnophobia, a serious fear of spiders. I have been bitten by spiders in the past and had serious reactions to spider bites that has sent me to the emergency room. Spiders just completely creep me out. Spiders and me can not reside in the same household, the little creepy creatures must go! They are small and sneaky, you can't hear them coming and most time you don't even see them. The creatures are among the most deadliest creatures on the planet. The thing about spiders is there are so many of them. It is more common to find a spider in your house than a ant. You can bomb your house and put stuff out to keep them away, but you will always find another spider. Maybe not as many, but you will find a spider creeping down the wall or across the floor that has crawled in through the cracks of a door or an open window.

The funny thing about it is the first time I was bitten by a spider, I was sleeping. I woke up with my eye looking like someone had socked me in the eye and my face was swollen. Ever since then, I sleep further down on the bed, making sure I don't get too close to the wall giving them easy access to me and I always get this creepy itching feeling whenever I first get into bed like something is crawling on me. I am almost afraid of rubbing where it itches, fearing if I rub it and it's a spider it will bite me from the movement.

The second time was recently when I was cleaning the basement rafters and windows. Something what looked like a spider bite, bit me on the back of my leg and hadn't noticed something bit me until I took a shower. It swelled up huge and developed a sore where the bite was. I didn't even realize something had bit me because I was itching all over from cleaning out the rafters and windows. I have allergies to dust, so I assumed I was itching from the dust.

You don't see a picture posted, because it would creep me out to have an image of spider stuck in my head. It would just be self torture.

Mommy Overload

Sometimes I think being a stay at home Mom is more stressful than working. The morning starts with trying to get the kids out of bed on time and mediating between the two kids who are at each other's throats every waking moment they cross paths through out the day. My children and dog are driving me up the wall. It has become so difficult to get everyone ready for school and out the door on time to get them to school and the dog has been having more anxiety issues than normal lately. This morning my son refused to get out of bed because I turned the light on. I turned the light on because he wasn't getting up and I told him, if he doesn't get up I am going to turn the light on. The funny thing is they have no clue why we get upset with them when we are repeatedly telling them to get out of bed, then we are rushing them to get ready and then driving fast to get them to school on time so I don't have to go in and sign him in for being late to school. I am half tempted to get a glass of water and dump it on him, because I'm tired of repeated telling him from 6:30 to 7:00 everyday to get out of the bed. He is 12 years old and goes to bed at 9:30, there is no reason why he can not get up in the morning. Even when I put him in bed 8:30 for misbehaving, he still doesn't get up on time.

I have no clue what a pampered dog can have anxiety issues over. He is stressing me out with his anxiety issues. He pulls his hair out and chews himself whenever I leave him. This morning when taking my son to school he pulled his hair out, because I wouldn't take him with me when I left. All week my son has been running late and I didn't have the time to take the dog with me to drop him off. When I came back from dropping him off at school, the dog had a pile of hair around him where he pulled the hair out of his legs for not taking him. He is on anxiety medication because he does this all the time when I leave him or when the kids leave him. I have to keep him in the same room with me all day to watch him. I would hate to do it, but if he doesn't stop soon I am going to have to get rid of him because he is killing us financially running him to the vet every couple of months. This month I couldn't go the doctor myself  to get my medication refilled because I had to take him to the vet for ear infections. He also digs his ears when he gets mad. Then he leaves scratches and they get infected and I end up taking him to the vet every 2 or 3 months for ear infections and his anxiety problems.

Today is one of those days where I just want to go back to bed and give up on today.

Children

Sometimes it is so difficult to write when you have children. This morning I got on a half hour ago to write and my son made the whole task almost completely impossible for me. He is 12 and still can not seem to get ready for school without me staying on him or complaining the entire way. He was supposed to wake up an hour ago. Almost one hour later, he is still in his pajamas and I have to leave in less than 5 minutes to drive him to school. He has spent the last hour complaining he needs new shoes because the white part that goes around the shoe is stained. Not because there is actually something wrong with the shoes, because the white rubber that goes around the shoe is stained. I can't afford another pair at least until next weekend, but that's not good enough, he needs them now according to him. This little obsession he has over his shoes is beginning to drive me nuts.

Then his next complaint is he needs new chap stick. But, I was prepared for that one. I always keep extra chap stick in the house, because he goes through a chap stick in about two weeks. I don't even know how that is possible.

Kids just don't seem to understand that adults have to pay their bills before filling a need that is not an immediate need.

Euro-Pro Shark Cordless Floor and Carpet Cleaner

I recently purchase this Shark Cordless vacuum. I would have to say this vacuum is awesome for quick clean ups and everyday touching up. I love the way it easily goes under the beds and furniture to keep the dust bunnies at a minimum, quick clean ups for the floor and throw rugs. This little shark cleans up dirt, glass and so much more and it is absolutely perfect for cleaning those hard to clean throw rugs. When I purchase the little shark for $30, I never expected it to work so well.

April Fools

This early spring weather has even fooled the flowers. The flowers are blooming and now the weather is back to normal and a freeze warning is in effect. Last week, people were out doing yard work and wearing tank tops and shorts. Now, it's 33 degrees outside. Hopefully, it won't kill off the pretty flowers that started blooming early.

Sleep Overs

I enjoy the school year, because it gives me some "me time" to get work done at home during the day without interruptions considering I work at home. However, the kids drive me nuts with sleep overs. With two kids, they don't see anything wrong with someone sleeping over every weekend. But, sometimes I just get tired of someone else's child always being here on the weekends. It just gets out of control sometimes, because they think they should take turns with the sleep overs or even overlap the sleep overs sometimes. What they don't understand is we don't always want kids here every weekend.

The house is always messy when there are sleep overs and it becomes difficult to sit down and watch a movie because of all the noise. Then let's add they plow through the junk food when they have sleep overs. What do kids like to do during sleep overs? They like to run around being loud because they are excited to be having a sleep over and eat. Which means there is going to be an extra trip to the store to replace all the food they went through over the weekend. I think it is completely understandable to not want sleep overs every weekend. Maybe we would like some quiet time or invite adult friends over for some drinks and adult conversation and be able to hear one another speak without having to mediate between the kids or asking them to settle down. But, kids really don't seem to understand that we would like to be able to enjoy our weekend too occasionally, we are just being unfair or some how playing favoritism if they are the ones we are saying no to that weekend.

Early Spring

I don't know about the rest of the country, but Michigan is unseasonably warm and I am enjoying every minute of it. I took advantage of the nice weather and got a jump on the yard work and set up the yard for spring. I figured I would take advantage of the nice weather and get the yard work done early so we have more time to enjoy summer this year. I did the weeding, put down new mulch and did some raking. Now all I have left is the rake the back yard, which shouldn't be too bad because, I have already cleaned up the sticks. Everything looks strange because the flowers are coming up, but there are no leaves on the trees.

I am loving this weather, I was having a difficult time getting motivated for spring this year and this nice weather is exactly what I needed to get motivated. Let's just hope the nice weather stays and we don't get snow two weeks from now.

Police Radio Broadcasts Audio Of Officer Having Sex While On Duty

According to WHBQ, sources say Dion Anthony accidentally broadcast himself having sex in his squad car with a woman while on duty. Memphis Police say the office was released of duty on March 13th for inappropriate radio communication and did not elaborate.

“The allegations do surround inappropriate communications through either his handheld or console mic,” Sgt. Karen Rudolph told WHBQ.

"Anytime you communicate via a handheld or console microphone you want to remain professional. Our job is to make sure all officers follow procedures. In this instance it's possible he didn't follow proper procedure," Rudolph told the station.

17 Year Old Shot And Killed For Walking Down The Street

On February 26,2012 Trayvon Martin of Sanford FL, was shot and killed as he walked to a family member's home from a convenience store where he had just bought some candy. Trayvon was only 17 years-old.

George Zimmerman the community's self appointed neighborhood watch leader admitted to the police that he shot Trayvon in the chest, he had called police to report a suspicious person. The police told Zimmerman not to confront him, but he did it anyway. Then Zimmerman shot and killed unarmed 17 year old Trayvon Martin.

Zimmerman has not been arrested for the crime and the police has even gone as far to make a public statement supporting Zimmerman saying, he's "a college grad" who took a class in criminal justice.

Three witnesses contacted by The Miami Herald say they saw or heard the moments before and after the Miami Gardens teenager’s killing. All three said they heard the last cry for help from a boy, and believe the sequence of sounds shatters the notion that Trayvon was killed in self defense. Mary Cutcher a witness says "Blew us off, and I called him back again and I said, "I know this was not self-defense. There was no punching, no hitting going on at the time, no wrestling,'" Cutcher said. Trayvon's family says, he was their hero pulling his father from a burning kitchen, he loved sports and horseback riding.

Tracy Martin, the father says, "It's a shame that he's [Trayvon] not getting any justice. We're not, as a family, getting any closure," the elder Martin said. "I feel betrayed by the Sanford Police Department and there's no way that I can still trust them in investigating this crime."

The case has now been turned over to the State's Attorney Office, who will make the decision on whether or not to charge George Zimmerman in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.

Trayvon Martin's family is asking that as many people as possible sign the petition to prosecute George Zimmerman in the death of their son.

Sign the petition here at Help Prosecute Trayvon Martin's Killer.

Legal Issues With Pinterest

Some Pinterest users may be faced with legal issues pinning photos and recipes to their Pinterest page. When you pin photos or recipes, you are agreeing that you own these photos or recipes and have the right to post them online or you have the permission of the owner.

Attorneys are now saying Pinterest users could be asking for trouble unless they own the photos, links, recipes and so on they are pinning or re-pinning.

"At the moment, there is very little that can be done to avoid infringing copyright if you are a Pinterest user," she says. "The only way to pin pictures without violating the site's terms of service and the picture owner's copyright is to only pin pictures that you've taken yourself."

Bruce Johnson, an attorney with Davis Wright Tremaine, agrees: "The website may have DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) protections for user-generated content. The users don't and could be exposing themselves to a significant legal risk."

Another problem users are facing are you release your rights to the photos you pin.

"According to the Pinterest terms of service, you release all rights you have in a picture once you pin it," she says.
Specifically, here's what the terms say:
"By making available any Member Content through the Site, Application or Services, you hereby grant to Cold Brew Labs a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, transferable, royalty-free license, with the right to sublicense, to use, copy, adapt, modify, distribute, license, sell, transfer, publicly display, publicly perform, transmit, stream, broadcast, access, view, and otherwise exploit such Member Content only on, through or by means of the Site, Application or Services."
When you pin or re-pin an item you are breaking the law. Pinning without permission is violating copyright infringements.

Man Assaulted With A Justin Bieber Doll

Denver police arrestedOfficer Michael Nuanes, Jr., 37, for assault after his girlfriend threw a Barbie-sized Justin Bieber doll at him, injuring his foot. Nuenes says, his girlfriend threw two dolls at him, one hitting the wall and one hitting his foot. He says, she broke the dolls and the dolls cost $15 each.  He claims she bit his finger, choked him and kicked him.  Nuanes was accused by his girlfriend of pulling her hair out and punching her in the ribs. Nuanes girlfriend said, he broke the door where she was hiding in the bathroom and hit her in the head with the back of the broken part of the door. Nuanes girlfriend recorded the attack with her cell phone.

The argument settled down until after Nuanes watched the Bronco game and then found his girlfriend locked in the bedroom, broke off the relationship and tried to throw her out.

I know it's not funny, it was a serious attack. But, you have to admit it is funny he was upset her breaking the Justin Bieber dolls.

Facebook Lands Man Up On Charges

A friend of friend exposes a corrections officer who is now facing bigamy charges. Washington authorities say, a man using Facebook found that that she and a potential "friend" were married to him at the same time to the same man.

According to the documents discovered  Alan L. O'Neill, had married a women in 2001 and moved out in 2009. O'Neill had changed his name and remarried without divorcing the other woman.

Wife number 1 had noticed on her Facebook page had recommended her as people you may know, wife number 1 went to wife number's 2 page she had noticed a picture of wife number 2 with her husband. The man in the photo was also her husband. Wife number 1 then calls the O'Neil's mother and within an hour later, wife number 2 shows up on her door step saying, she had asked him several times if he was divorced.

O'Neil went to wife number one and asked her not to report him to authorities, that he would do everything possible to fix the situation. However, wife number 1 went to the authorities anyway.

That should be used as example of what exposing your whole life on Facebook will get you when you have a bitter ex and a Facebook or many other posts you may think are simple can land you in  a lot of hot water. Some people will never learn about posting their whole life on Facebook.

Winter Blues

Every year at the end of winter, I find it hard to break out of those winter blues. Even though the weather is getting nicer finally, I am finding it hard to get motivated to do anything. I spend the winter sitting in the house catching up on television shows. I dread even going outside or even going anywhere in the winter. Then when the weather gets nicer, I find it hard to break the cycle until I can start opening the windows and getting fresh air in the house.

I absolutely hate winter. Winter just drains me and I feel drained and sleepy all the time. I have tried exercising and taking walks to break the cycle. I just end up back on the couch flipping through the channels trying to find something to watch to occupy my time. Blogging even becomes a difficult task by the end of winter. I just sit there staring at a blank screen trying to come up with something to write about.

Kicked From Mom Bloggers Club

I can't believe I just got kicked out of the Mom Bloggers Club. How totally ridiculous! This is the tweet that got me kicked, "Sinfully sexy lingerie to flatter your curves." Since when did lingerie become dirty? Working on your marriage and relationship is not dirty. When married women begin thinking sex and lingerie is dirty is when the marriages start going straight down the tubes. The divorce rate in the United States is 50%, the biggest complaint from husbands is their wives are no longer interested in having an intimate relationship with them. We have a higher divorce rate than other less conservative countries in the world. The problem in so many marriages is there are so many women who forget how to be a woman outside of running the kids to their activities and taking care of their family.

Lingerie is simply a way to express your pride in your body and your appreciation for the man you love. Lingerie is not dirty. All women should be proud of their bodies and not be ashamed to show your body to your husband. Women should show pride in their bodies and curves. I developed the site to cater to women of all sizes, because I feel that a woman should not feel ashamed of her body, no matter what the size. If I had a website on undergarments to suck in your body, I am sure I would have been suspended from the Mom Bloggers Club, because it's much better to be ashamed of your body and try to suck it in. At least according to the view of many. That view point is why so many women are ashamed of their bodies.

Having curves is what makes us women and we should not be ashamed of them. Sex wasn't dirty when you got married and made your children, it was simply a way to express your love for your husband. It doesn't mean your done working on your relationship just because you had children with your husband. Where is your relationship is going to be when all the children are grown. Being happy in your marriage is one of the key factors that makes a happy family. When children see their parents happy and in love with one another, it sets a positive role model for their children. Marriage is supposed to be showing your love for your partner and lingerie is just a tool to help couples have a healthy happy marriage.

I am proud of having a website that caters to all women of all shapes and sizes. I don't want the women who do not fit into the cookie cutter shape to feel ashamed of their bodies. They should be able to find lingerie that flatters their bodies. Erotic Passions Lingerie & Club Wear is my site and I'm proud of it. So, the Mom Bloggers Club can go back to burring their head back in the sand believing the only way for women to work on their relationships is by baking a pot roast or cookies.

80's Hairstyles Flash Back

You got to love the 80's. It was full of fun fashion, a time when people really knew how to make a fashion statement and stand out in a crowd.

Kodak Moments

I had to get a picture of this. These two sleep like this every night. Sometimes I wonder if the Max knows he's a dog or if he thinks he is one of the kids.

Lollipop Pipes

The new lollipop pipe has people outraged and I can understand why. The packaging says the pipe is a lollipop and can actually be used, it will not burn. The lollipop is in the candy isle of some gas stations and stores and is being sold to children. The packaging says "legalize" and comes in a variety of flavors. It amazes me what people come up with and could care less about who  is going to want the product. I realize they sell pipes. However if your going to make a product like this, it should only be available in tobacco stores where only adults of legal age can buy the pipe. It's a pipe, it doesn't matter what it is made of, it's still a pipe!
