Social Networking Sites

The social networking sites can be fun and a great way to keep in touch with family and friends.  However, I am becoming very careful about what information I tweet on the sites.  There are so many people getting in trouble for pictures being posted, getting in trouble with law inforcement, work and family and friends for their tweets.  So many people put too much personal information out there for everyone to read. People post when they are going out of town and have been robbed while they are out of time.  Many perspective employers google or check the social networking sites for job applicants to get more information on them. A little bit of advice, use common sense when posting your tweets. Don't post anything you don't want to get into the wrong hands. Have fun!

Dr. Phil Show

I enjoy watching the Dr. Phil show.  However, for months now, he has been working with the Dr. Phil family.  Okay, when is it time to let the family learn how to work on their own problems? It's great he is helping this family, but there comes a time when you have to refer the family out to other professionals who may be able to help the family more than he can.  It's becoming a reality show on Mondays.  I am beginning to wander if this family is procrastinating on stepping up to the plate and help themselves because they think becoming regulars on the Dr. Phil show will maybe open some doors in the entertainment world and the Dr. Phil show is footing the bill for all their needs to get their life back on track.  I am not knocking Dr. Phil, I watch the show almost everyday.

Playing Sick

My 9 year was claiming to be sick this morning.  Her tummy was hurting and she felt like she was going to throw up when she woke up this morning. But, as soon as the bus was out of site she was hungry for scrambled eggs, toast and sausage and seems to have a made a miraculous recovery and is feeling much better. Where do kids learn the "I'm sick" trick when they don't feel like going to school?

The joys of raising children.

I was having a nice relaxing day and went to the spa today. From the moment I came through the door things went down hill. The dog pooped on the floor, something he very rarely does, the kids argued almost non-stop shortly after coming home from school and they didn't want to do anything I asked them too.  By 5:00 they had managed to give me a headache after getting a massage, imagin that. God help me, I never thought it would be so hard to have children a year apart. They are constantly at each others throats and everything is a competition between the two of them, God please give me patience and help me raise these two children.

Tiger Woods

Who's getting tired of hearing about Tiger Woods? You hear more about Tiger Woods than you did before.  His scandelous affairs is putting him in the news more than before.  It's not like he is the first man to have affairs.  Now they seem to think everyone wants to hear everything about Tiger Woods, right down to why he is wearing a particular bracelet.  Honestly, who really cares why Tiger is wearing a bracelet? Who really cares if the bracelet symbolizes anything?  I think all this controlled publicity is a stunt to regain the faith of his fans. Tiger needs to open his eyes and realize, if he was your average Joe without all the money, those women would not have given him a chance.  If  I saw him out in a bar somewhere, I wouldn't even give him a second look. He really isn't all that nice looking. They were after your money and fame Tiger, get a reality check. Tiger Woods isn't anyone but a man with a lack of morals, loyalty, and self-control who thinks the number of women he can get in the sack actually relates to him being more of a man.  It is pathetic, men like Tiger don't realize that it takes a real man to be honest and faithful. A real man has self-control. A lack of self-control only makes you a boy, not a man.  Self-control is something your supposed to acquire as you grow up and if you haven't mastered that task yet, then I guess that makes you a boy, not a man and you have a lot of growing up to do.

Out Sourcing America

So many Americans buy foreign cars thinking they are getting a better car for less money.  With all the Toyota recalls going on you would think it is time for Americans to invest in their own manufacturers.  Toyota has had over 8 million recalls on their cars.  Sorry to say all those Americans investing in foreign made cars, you had it coming.  They bring our food and products from other countries and we have more recalls since they have been importing our food and products from other countries than we have had in American history. I have never understood the thrill about buying foreign made cars.  Our jobs have been out sourced to foreign countries and millions of Americans have lost their jobs and people still haven't learned their lesson yet.  People need to be more supportive of their own economy and stop making the other countries richer while Americans are becoming poorer.  Support your own country buy American. Everyone's need to buy foreign is putting our americans out of work and our products and food are unsafe. Even the poor farmers are being put out of work. Proud to be a Ford driver.

"In God We Trust"

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel rejected two legal challenges by Sacramento atheist Michael Newdow, who claimed the references to God disrespect his religious beliefs. This is the same man who sued his daughters school district for saying the Pledge Allegiance, saying it violates her religious rights.  If  you don't want your child to say the Pledge Allegance, then tell them to have a moment of silence instead. Why do people continue to object to "under God" the Pledge Allegiance and "In God We Trust" on money?  You can't change our Pledge Allegiance or our money because you are offended. You would think it says in Satan we trust. Our countries principles are founded on religion. You can not completely seperate state and church.  What about our rights?  Don't they think we would be offended if you remove the word of God from anything that has to do with our government.  That is one of the problems with this country.  People have forgotton about God and who created us and our world.  If the Athiest are offended by the word God. Then don't read what money says and if you it pains you so much to say "under God", then don't say it.  Skip that part of the Pledge of Allegiance.  I dont approve of how they took the Pledge of Allegiance out of a lot of schools as it is, just because it says "under God".  Our society is failing our children by taking religion out of the schools.  If your an athiest and don't believe in God, then simply take a moment of silence. I'm not sorry if anyone is offended by my opinion, but I'm offended by the Athiests who is trying to take the reference to God out of everything.

Sen. Jim Bunning votes no to unemployment extensions.

Sen. Jim Bunning has again blocked the Senate from extending unemployment benefits and health insurance subsidies for the jobless.  Republican Senator Bunning obviously doesn't understand the reality of the unemployment situation in the United States.  So, he is just going to vote no to extending unemployment benefits to Americans.  I am so tired of how so many are ready to jump in and help people in other countries.  What about helping people in our own damn country?  It's not like we are asking for hand outs. We worked hard and paid into unemployemt. People on unemployment have spent years paying into unemployment and deserve to get unemployment. I have been working since I was 15 years old and this is the first time I have been on unemployment in my life. I am sorry, after I have spent the last 24 years working and paying into unemployment, I am entitled to collect it when I am laid off.  Sen. Jim Bunning should have all his luxaries wripped from him, forced to live on unemployment with his family then have it taken from him and tell him to go work at McDonalds to support his family.  Too many people in the government is too used to their comfortable incomes & lifestyles and have forgotten what is like to live in the real world.  Sen. Jim Bunning needs a reality check.
