Tish, Tish on Tiger!

Why is it that Tiger doesn't seem to think he should be upheld to the same standards as everyone else.  Tiger went on television saying he was going to change and start controlling his temper on the course.  Apparently Saturday, Tiger was full of profanity when things didn't go his way.  I am sorry, but Tiger Woods acts like a 2 year old who throws temper tantums when things don't go his way and hasn't mastered self-control yet.  Tiger Woods makes too much damn money to be so disresptful on the course.  I think all of his money and fame has gone to his head and he doesn't seem to think he should follow the same rules as everyone else.  Tiger should learn to think with the God given head that was put on his shoulders and learn a little self control.  The tournaments are broadcast live, Tiger gets paid very well and he should respect the rules of live broadcasts.  Tiger Woods needs to realize all his money and fame can dissappear just as fast as he got it.  Grow up, Tiger!

God help me.... the joys of raising children.

What is it with the age 10?  Do children lose all common sense at the age of 10?  The age 10 seems to be the age they begin to think they are young adults.  They start talking back, they never want to be home, they would prefer to spend all their time with their friends and their parents become the enemies.  I know they are entering into puberty at that point, but how is it they all act the same unless you get lucky enough to get blessed with a child who is different. Once they turn 10, your sweet little child disappears and turns into a pubescent monster until they hit their twenties.  They are moody, arguementive and hate their parents. I have three children, my oldest just moved out and now I have my middle son who is becoming a 10 year old pubescent monster and his 9 year old sister is soon to follow.  If God has mercy on me, he will give me a break with that one.

People Still Care

A man walked into a National City Bank today on Woodward, handed the tell a note demanding money. When he ran out of the bank, he was stopped in his tracks by a local detroit man.  A local Detroit man stopped the bank robber as he was running out of the National City Bank. The local Detroit man had a permit to carry a gun, pulled out his gun, and told the robber to freeze and drop to the ground. The Good Samaritan fooled the robber; the robber thought he was a cop. The man called police and was arrested. The man said he had his boys with him and was just trying to set a good example for his sons

Social Networking Sites

The social networking sites can be fun and a great way to keep in touch with family and friends.  However, I am becoming very careful about what information I tweet on the sites.  There are so many people getting in trouble for pictures being posted, getting in trouble with law inforcement, work and family and friends for their tweets.  So many people put too much personal information out there for everyone to read. People post when they are going out of town and have been robbed while they are out of time.  Many perspective employers google or check the social networking sites for job applicants to get more information on them. A little bit of advice, use common sense when posting your tweets. Don't post anything you don't want to get into the wrong hands. Have fun!

Dr. Phil Show

I enjoy watching the Dr. Phil show.  However, for months now, he has been working with the Dr. Phil family.  Okay, when is it time to let the family learn how to work on their own problems? It's great he is helping this family, but there comes a time when you have to refer the family out to other professionals who may be able to help the family more than he can.  It's becoming a reality show on Mondays.  I am beginning to wander if this family is procrastinating on stepping up to the plate and help themselves because they think becoming regulars on the Dr. Phil show will maybe open some doors in the entertainment world and the Dr. Phil show is footing the bill for all their needs to get their life back on track.  I am not knocking Dr. Phil, I watch the show almost everyday.

Playing Sick

My 9 year was claiming to be sick this morning.  Her tummy was hurting and she felt like she was going to throw up when she woke up this morning. But, as soon as the bus was out of site she was hungry for scrambled eggs, toast and sausage and seems to have a made a miraculous recovery and is feeling much better. Where do kids learn the "I'm sick" trick when they don't feel like going to school?
