Tribute To Black History Month- Some Words Of Wisdom

February is black history month and I will be writing my blogs on the many African Americans who have had a positive influence on America. So, check back during the month of February to read the many stories and quotes of the influential African Americans in our history.

Some words of wisdom from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

The time is always right to do what is right.

He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it.

Every man must decide whether he will walk in the light of creative altruism or in the darkness of destructive selfishness.

  1. Truly a great me. I wonder why January isn't Black History Month? After all, it's the Rev. King's birthday month. Plus, it has three extra days.
