Wow, What A Month

I'm still here. Finding time for blogging has been a little difficult for me this month, starting with Halloween. We get busy with decorating for Halloween, getting the kids ready for Halloween and our yearly Halloween Party we go to. Then that throws straight into November with birthdays and the holidays. By some unusual chance all three of our children were born in November. My son on the 9th, my youngest daughter on the 29th, my oldest daughter on the 30th, my sister on the 26th and my mother-in-law on the 4th. November is full of Birthdays. So, a big shout out to my other mom, Happy Birthday Kat! We love you!

December is pretty much the same. There is my mom on the 2nd, my dad on the 6th and my husband on the 17th. Then Christmas follows. Plus, I have been working on my website non-stop trying to get it ready for Christmas. There just doesn't seem to be enough time in the days lately.

Mothers Day

I had a very nice Mothers Day this year, except for the cold I woke up with on Sunday morning. I got my hair, my eye lashes and brows done from my honey, my kids bought me a grill with supplies, a pair of earrings, some lotion, and of course some very nice cards that make you teary eyed. I know a mother wanting a grill sounds a little strange, but it was greatly appreciated. I enjoy grilling, especially since it means less mess and less time spent in the kitchen. It is so much easier than standing there slaving over a hot stove in the summer. I would much rather be sitting in the backyard and cooking on the grill, plus I love family barbecues. We have such a fun time when we get together and have a barbecue. I always look forward to the summer holidays, it gives me an excuse to get everyone together for a barbecue. I hope everyone had a wonderful and blessed Mothers Day.

Battle Over Closet Space

When me and my sweetie decided to get married, we built a custom closet by Ikea thinking it would be plenty of space for the two of us. Well, low and behold, I had no idea how many shoes and clothes he had. This wonderful man has more clothes and shoes than me and dominates the closet space. Keep in mind this closet is 8' long and goes all the way to the ceiling. In addition, we also have a normal size closet in the bedroom, which he dominates with his jerseys.
We custom built the closet so he would have a shoe rack for his shoes going down one side. It has three has hanging sections and a set of drawers. I have one hanging section and a small part of another section for my clothes. I am beginning to think the only way we are going to get enough space is to either buy a bigger house with more rooms or wait until my children leave the nest and take over one of their rooms for clothes.

Happy Martin Luther King Day Everyone!

The video speaks for it's self. Never forget, it all begins with a dream.

Martin Luther King, Jr. said, "This demonstration will go down as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation", he couldn't have been more right.

News Years Resolutions

It is the year 2011 already. The past year has just flown by and I feel like I haven't accomplished anything and put off too many things. I don't normally make News Years Resolutions, but this year I am thinking about making a few resolutions of my own. Well, here it goes. I wonder how many of them I will actually keep.

1. Eating healthier and gettin back on track on going back to the gym.
2. Find a job. Most important resolution. Let's hope 2011 is better than 2010.
3. Save money and learn to live simplier.

Happy New Year!!!!

Hello everyone, today is going to be an insanely busy day. I hope to get a chance to write today. But, if I don't get the opportunity, I hope everyone has a wonderful & safe Happy New Year. I plan on curling up on the sofa with my husband and a bottle of wine. Wow, can you believe the year 2011 is almost here? It will probably take me a month before I start writing the right date.  Stay safe and no drinking and driving.

Christmas Is In The Air

My little girl's first year of baking cookies.

What a peaceful afternoon with the smell of cookies in the air, Christmas music playing and a hot cup of peppermint mocha coffee.
