Sane Or Insane?
I ran across someone recently who I would have to say, their sanity is definitely questionable. Did you ever run across someone and they say or do something that is totally off the wall? Then you just stand there with this twisted look are your face thinking "Are they living on planet earth with you or are they living somewhere off in Mars?" It makes you really wonder about what goes through the minds of people when they doing something crazy.
This is just a thought, but it seems as though people who are lunatics, don't see themselves as lunatics. I guess that is part of what makes them irrational or lunatics in the first place. They see themselves as being a completely rational sane person and the people around them are at fault for anything that doesn't seem to go right or they just have unrealistic expectations. It's like they are looking through a tunnel and they are the only one seeing what they are seeing at the end of the tunnel. An irrational person doesn't see themselves as being irrational. They think they are the only one being rational and there is something wrong with the people around them.
The crazy part about dealing with someone crazy or irrational is you start to question your own logic or sanity for not seeing them as being an irrational person in the beginning. You even begin to question your take on the situation, because they truly believe their own irrational thoughts and you begin to question if maybe you missed something somewhere along the line or if you’re the crazy one. Then you begin to wonder if maybe you are one of the few sane people left on this planet earth and if maybe losing your sanity would help you cope with this insane world we live in and the people we co-exist on this planet with.
There's an old saying "You shouldn't judge another person until you have walked a mile in their shoes." With some people, I don't think it would make a difference if you walked a mile in their shoes, you will never understand their logic or the way they think. So, I guess the most logical thing to do is to not try and make sense out of something completely illogical or you might as well join them, because you will make yourself completely crazy trying to understand them.

Does It Ever Stop???
My youngest daughter is 10 and my son is 11. All they do is argue over everything possible. It is almost impossible for them to co-exist in same room together for more than five minutes without arguing. Is that ever going to change or is this my curse for having them so close together? When they were little they were really close to one another, almost as if they were twins. Now, it is a nightmare. They are constantly bickering. Everything is a competition for them. Even if you saw them walk down the sidewalk together, you would laugh. They try and see who can be the one to get in front of the other one.
The television, God help me. There are three large televisions with cable in the house and they each have one in their room they can watch movies on or play their gaming systems on. They still ague over who is going to watch t.v. where. There could be two other televisions with no one watching them and they will still argue over one television. They could have been in the room an hour ago, walked away to do something else and come back to the room to watch the television. By then, the other one is in their watching the television and they try and claim squatters rights. Even though, they have been off doing something else for the past hour.
Maybe parents have made a mistake by having multiple televisions in a house. Growing up, we only had one television for the entire family. As children, we knew how to entertain ourselves. Children now a days don't know how to entertain themselves unless they are sitting in front of the television either watching t.v. or playing their gaming system.
In the summer or when they are off on break, I take 2 or 3 hours a day where all the televisions have to be shut off and they have to be doing something else. Maybe I need to do that all year round.
This arguing has been going on since they were 6 and 7. Does it ever stop????

Dogs Have Feelings Too
Mr. Max |
Mr. Max has been pouting since we got our new addition to the family. I thought he would love getting a little friend to play with, but he is not happy about having to share his family with cute little Toby. He's pouting and refusing to eat. I have to make him over easy eggs to mix with his dog food to get him to eat. We are trying to give him extra attention to make the transition easier for him and make him feel better. But, I think it is going to be a long road ahead, because Mr. Max is a sensitive dog and gets upset easily. He is slightly spoiled.
We got little Toby from our neighbor and Max has been playing with him through the fence for the last couple of months. The first time we put them in the fence together, they went crazy running and playing. All that changed once he has realized Toby isn't going back over to his side of the fence. Dogs are so funny. My poor little guy is heart broken.
To our surprise, Toby has a really good personality considering the situation he came from. He is a very friendly and loving dog. He's only 10 months old and has lived a difficult life up until a few months ago when my neighbor's sister rescued him from a crack house. His situation shows in that he doesn't like to be alone and he will follow everyone around the house every time someone moves, he will follow them to make sure they aren't leaving until the last person goes to bed at night. He won't sleep until everyone is in their beds. He truly gets upset when someone leaves, he will whimper and oh my gosh, he will get tears in his eyes. I have never seen a dog get tears in their eyes. He only has to spend a couple hours a day home alone, which probably feels like eternity to him. When my neighbor said, he needs a lot of attention and they don't have enough time for him, he wasn't kidding. But, he's a very sweet little dog.

Vincent D'onofrio Before He was A Star
Vincent D'onofrio as a blond? |
My husband had the Adventures In Babysitting on because he couldn't find anything on to watch. I never remembered Vincent D'onofrio being in Adventures In Babysitting. He is one of my favorite actors. That's funny how you watch some of the older movies and you see an actor or actress in a movie and your sitting there trying to figure out who they are because they look familiar. When you watched the movie you didn't even know who they were. They were just some actor or actress who had two minutes on the big screen. I guess they all have to start somewhere.

Prescription Medication Commercials
The prescription medication commericals and all the warnings and side effects crack me up. Through out the entire commercial they list the possible side effects from the drug. It makes you wonder if they are actually getting all the possible side effects in or maybe they didn't want to pay what it would cost to run a commerical long enough to get them all in. They are enough to make you not want to talk to your doctor. Have you ever read the pamphlet the pharmecist gives you with your prescription medication? The warnings and side effects are practically a page long for most medications. Going on prescription medication is something I try to avoid unless it is completely unavoidable. With the commercials they have out there, why would you want to go on medication? It seems like whenever they put you on one medication, it becomes like a snowball effect. They put you on medication for one thing and then in no time they are putting you on medication for something else. Even though some medication is necessary, I just think doctors over prescribe medication. Monday, April 4, 2011
Monday Madness No Rules Blog Hop
Spring Is In The Air
My neighbor across the street can't stand it either. However, if you throw trash down on his side of the side walk he might come after you and throw it back at you. One day when I was sitting in my back yard, some teens threw a pop bottle on the sidewalk while he was out there doing yard work and he picked it up, threw it back at them and told them to throw their damn trash in a garbage can, not in his yard. I couldn't help but laugh, because you do get tired of picking up their trash. Before you go out and cut the grass you have to take a bag with you and clean up the trash. Teenagers have such a lack of respect now a days. When I was a kid we knew better than to throw trash down on the ground. Especially, in front of someones house.
